All aspects of respiratory medicine but with particular interest in pleural disease, airways disease (asthma / COPD), sleep disordered breathing and cough.

Research and Publications: MD thesis examining the incidence of upper airway problems (in particular vocal cord dysfunction and nasal pathology), gastro-oesophageal and laryngeal reflux as coexisting or alternative diagnoses in patients with moderate to severe asthma, leading to several publications. He maintains active involvement in clinical research through his role as local principle investigator for various trials for patients with pleural effusions and pneumothorax. Dr Stanton has co-authored numerous articles in prestigious medical journals such as the Lancet and Chest.
Personal Interests: Dr Stanton is a keen classical guitarist and enjoys the outdoors, either in the hills, running or on the golf course where time allows.
