Research and Publications
MD thesis completed in 2006 examined the incidence of upper airway problems (in particular vocal cord dysfunction and nasal pathology), gastro-oesophageal and laryngeal reflux as coexisting or alternative diagnoses in patients with moderate to severe asthma. He maintains active involvement in clinical research through his role as local principle investigator for various trials for patients with airways disease, pleural effusions and pneumothorax through close links with academic units in Oxford and Bristol. Dr Stanton has co-authored a number of published articles in the fields of asthma and pleural disease.
Dr Stanton is a keen classical guitarist and enjoys the outdoors, either in the hills, running or on the golf course where time allows.
