She completed a medical degree at Guy’s, Kings and St Thomas School of Medicine in London, and her Oncoplastic Fellowship at Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital, a National Oncoplastic Training Centre, gaining unique insights into both plastic and oncological breast surgery. This surgery allows the most effective treatment for breast cancers, whilst preserving cosmetic and functional outcomes wherever possible.
Research & Publications
Anushka is the Undergraduate Tutor in General Surgery for Bristol Medical School; Committee member of the Association of Breast Surgeons; is lead of the management module of the Oncoplastic MS at the University of East Anglia, (where she is an Honorary Senior Lecturer); has national awards and has given international presentations on the subject, the intraoperative molecular diagnosis of lymph nodes in breast cancer patients using OSNA and has a keen interest in patient reported outcomes after breast reconstruction, publishing book chapters and contributing to studies in the subject.
Anushka is the founder of young women’s breast cancer charity, Aurora, in collaboration with the local breast cancer support group.
Anushka regularly provides educational talks to the public and healthcare professionals.
